runner is a virtual experience made real.

Using a modern take on the Pepper's Ghost illusion, it projects a body of light in motion, flickering, doubled, and fleeting. You can carry this apparition with you, moving through space with what feels like your own reflection from another plane.

The work blurs the line between presence and projection, between where your body is and where it appears to be going.

runner exists in that in-between: the feeling of traveling without arriving, of moving while suspended, of chasing and being chased by an image of yourself you can never quite catch.
